Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 and Nothing’s Ear 3 arrived within months of each other, both priced around $200, both promising best-in-class noise cancellation, and both targeting the same buyer: someone who wants premium earbuds without spending $300 on flagship Sony or Bose models.
But the AirPods are designed to work best with iPhones, and the Nothing Ear 3 is designed to look good with everything. Here is how they compare.
Design and Fit
Nothing’s design language is unmistakable. The Ear 3 has a transparent stem and a compact in-ear body that sits flush with your ear. The charging case has the same transparent aesthetic with visible internal components. It looks like a concept render made real, and the build quality backs it up — nothing feels cheap or fragile.
The AirPods Pro 3 refines Apple’s familiar stem design. The stem is shorter than the Pro 2, the earbud body is slightly smaller, and the silicone tips now come in four sizes instead of three.
